1. Club Room.
The Barn club room is open each Thursday evening from about 20.00.

1)Make some cycling New Year‘s Resolutions. These will be kept till January 2005. How did last year‘s resolutions fare?

4) Johny White‘s Pedal Powered Sculptures.
2. Mountain Bike Section.
Meets each Saturday morning in January at the station car park entrance. These rides meet at 9.15 and leave at 9.30. Monday evening rides start outside the Laburnum, Hackney Road, at 18.30. Further details of both outings from Tony Holmes.
3. Thanks.
Thanks to all who helped set out the cross course on Boxing Day and participated in any way on the Saturday. Excellent event Harry.

Ever thought of being a timekeeper? The club needs timekeepers for club events and for open events. Training provided. Please let me know if you could help.

These start from Cromford Market Place at 9.30 and return around 12.30(?) Currently around four members are to be found on these rides visiting local cafes at such places as Ashbourne, Hartington, Derby and Darley dale.. Ring 01629 734996 for more details.
14. Hard Easter Tour.
8-day Easter Cycle Tour into deepest darkest Wales. Classic
Welsh route incorporating three optional circular day rides. 3-10 April

15.Auction.
This year‘s auction takes place on 12th starting at 7.30 pm. Sale items to be notified to Harry as soon as possible These items can be delivered to Harry, if members want to, before the auction so that the items can be labelled. Latest submission of items is about 6.30 on the night of the Auction at the clubroom.

Points Update.
17.Summer Tour 2004
We are going to France from 9th to 16th July 2004 and see part of two stages of the Tour de France, hopefully staying near to Limoges. Expected cost around £600 for transport and half board accommodation. Transport by minibus and plane with a back-up vehicle. Please let me know if you are interested. A £100 deposit, paid by January 29th secures a place. Any queries phone 01629 734996.

12-15 years starts at 12.30 and lasts about 20minutes.
Under - 12 years starts at 13.30 and lasts 10 minutes.
Over - 15 years starts at 14.15 and lasts 50 minutes.
The under - 12 race is free. Any bike is suitable. You need to be at the venue about 30 minutes before the race start to sign on, get your number and look at the course. More details from Harry.
All age groups gain points in each race to produce a final Notts and Derby League table.
19.Trophies.
If you have a trophy at home please return it as soon as possible. If you think that you have won a trophy during 2003 please let me know. There is an incomplete list on the web.
20.Club Sponsorship.
From January 2004 the club will have three sponsors. Wards Shoe Shops, Impsport and Farmers of Matlock. The club name for entry forms will be :- Matlock Cycling Club/Wards Shoe Shops/Impsport/Farmers of Matlock for Subaru.
21.New Club Strip.
The order has been sent to Impsport. Some 52 members ordered around £6 000 worth of kit.

Following Paul Rogers talk at club in October, we are considering originating a Peak District/Derbyshire Classic Climbs brevet. Which climbs do you consider worthy of being included? Please get a Classic Climbs voting form from Harry and return it to any committee member. Voting Update
25. Club Charity 2003
Every year the club club decides to support a different charity and any funds raised from a variety of events will be donated to the charity chosen for that particular year.
In 2003 the charity is Muscular Dystrophy.

31.Club Dinner.
The club dinner and trophy presentation evening will take place on Friday, 23rd January at the Coach House, Lea, 7.15 for 7.30. Tickets, £18.95 and menu from Rob.
32.Easy April Tour.
This tour aims to see one of the Spring one-day classics. The 2004 Tour of Flanders is the chosen race on April 4th so we will depart on Saturday, 3rd April returning on Wednesday, 7th April Cost around £300. A £50 deposit, paid by 15th January, secures a place.
