1. Mountain Bike Section.

Meets each Saturday morning in March at 9.00 starting from the station car park entrance. Monday evening rides start outside the Thorntree at 18.30. Further details of both outings from Tony Holmes on 01629 734753.


2. Thanks.

Thanks to all who helped with the Impruve maintenance session at Cromford and marshalled the BDCA 25.

3. Club Room.

The Barn club room is open after the hilly event each Thursday evening in April from about 19.00 to 20.30.
However on the first Thursday, 1st April(!), as there is no event, the club room is open from about 20.00 to 21.00

5. Congratulations.

Congratulations to all cross riders who competed in the Notts and Derby X league.
Congratulations also to Phil Spencer on his selection for the trip to Orlando, USA.


6. Press Secretary.

Mark Fairman needs informing of all of our exploits. Please call him on 01629 583564 with all your results as soon as possible after the event.


7. Impruve Event

The next Impruve training event is at Darley Moor on Saturday, 24th April, starting at 12.00. Help always appreciated.


8. Sponsored Turbo Ride.

We are helping Derwent Valley Lions in a sponsored event outside the chip shop on Causeway Lane on Saturday, 24th April. One of the charities supported is the same as the club‘s charity for this year. If you are able to help at all, Tony has the details.


9. Club Equipment.

Keith is still making an inventory of equipment belonging to the club. If you have any such items please let him know.


10. Open Events.

Saturday, 10th April. BCF crits at Darley Moor. 12.00 start. Saturday, 24th April. BSCA crits at Darley Moor. 12.00 start. Help appreciated at both events.


11. Club Events.

Sunday, 4th April: A/VH, 25 mile TT. 08.00 start from Cromford railway station.
Tuesdays, 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th April: 5 mile TT. 18.30 start from Ashford.
Thursdays, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th April: Short Hilly TT. 18.30 start from Cromford railway station.
Both start PROMPTLY at 18.30.
Under-18 riders must have completed a RTTC parental consent form, before they can start club events. >

12. Club Subscriptions

Club subscriptions for 1999 became due on the 1st January. Please hand or send completed enrolment forms together with payment to Tony Holmes or Harry Gould.
This will be the last newsletter you will receive if you have not paid your 1999 subscription.
