Club Benefits
Members get:-
a) 10% off shoes at Ward's Shoe Shops on production of a valid membership card. b) 15% off labour charges at Farmer's Garage, Smith Road, Matlock. c) 15% off Impsport products in their catalogue. d) Up to 40% off some ferry fares. A really useful ferry discount is now available to club members thanks to a company called Alternative Promotion, based in Weston Super Mare. Adge Last has used this service for many years – discounts tend to be in the region of 30 40% on a range of different crossings.
Before calling them, have all the details to hand: the crossing you want, your dates of travel and the vehicle & passenger details. Then call them (Monday to Friday office hours) with your request and they will get you a quote. You will then need to arrange payment and they will issue the tickets or a reference number.
Please be reasonable with this service don‘t make speculative calls - I usually have an idea of what the crossing would cost me from other sources so when they give me a price I can say yes or no immediately to save them from hanging around.
Alternative Promotion: 01934 824138
When you contact them it is important that you let them know that you are a cyclist from Matlock CC and have been given the contact by Adge Last.
Thanks.
Thanks to all who turned out to help with the 2 Matlock CC events held during October - the Lea Green Cross and Riber Hill Climb. Your presence was very much appreciated by the organisers.

4th December 2005 This year the Championships are at the RAF College, Cranwell, Lincs and your entries have to be in before 14th November. It would be a good idea if as many of our riders in all categories should enter as it would provide a guide as to how well we as a club could do in the new ”NATIONAL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP” in the National Championships in January. This new Club Championship will be based on points down to 20th place in every category. It is unlikely that the trade teams will win as they do not have riders competing at every level as our club does. Counting up the points gained at the Regional Champs would be a serious pointer to how well we could do. Matlock CC will be automatically entered for National Club Championship if all our regular riders enter individually.
p>.The revised times and entry fees are :- 12.00 under - 10, free ; 12.30 under - 12, free ; 13.00 youth, £4 ; 13.00 Go Race - all comers race for those who want to have a go at cyclo - cross, £4: 14.15 juniors, £5 ; 14.15 seniors, vets & women, £10.
Under - 10 born 1996 or later ; Under - 12 born 1994 & 1995 ; youth born 1990 to 1993 ; junior born 1988 & 1989 ; seniors born 1987 or earlier ; women born 1989 or earlier ; veterans born 1965 or earlier.
