14. Summer Tour 2003.

Planning for this final Lady Manners School Summer Tour is underway (ie the Risk Assessment has been filled in). The proposed dates are Tuesday, July 15th to Wednesday, 23rd July. We hope to visit the Franche-Comté region of France staying at Gray on the River Saone. Cost will be as 2002 - £400 at school - £440 others. The initial letter is available now

Deposit of £50 required by 6th December 2002.

15.Alternative Summer Tour 2003.

It looks as though the proposed Lady Manners School summer tour for 2003 will not take place.

If there is enough interest I would like to organise a Matlock CC (no kids) tour to the same region of France.

Details.

Dates: Tuesday, 9th September to Tuesday 16th September, 2003 (7 nights)

Hotels: Campanile at Reims, Tuesday, 9th September, Hotel Eric(!) at Dole, Franche-Comté, for the rest of the time.

Region: This region provides pleasant cycling country with the option of visiting the Jura mountains for a day. The nearby town of Besançon is well worth a day‘s visit.

Transport: By minibus assuming 8/9 people are interested.

Cost: Using our usual travel agent the cost for B&B plus transport is around £325 + insurance. The hotel in Dole doesn‘t have a restaurant but there is one next door. Assuming the Euro stays around the same this would give a half board total of about £425.

What to do next: If you are interested please let me know fairly soon as I would like to book in the Christmas holidays.
